Product Overview
C42N1846-1 is the OEM-grade replacement battery for the ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo UX581 series, delivering 71Wh of capacity at 15.4V from 6 premium lithium-ion cells. It is 100% brand new and backed by a 1-year warranty.
Dual-screen laptops draw significantly more power than conventional notebooks. While the main 4K UHD display renders your work, the ScreenPad Plus touchpad display runs timelines, toolbars, and panels simultaneously — and that combined workload demands real energy headroom. The 71Wh capacity of this C42N1846-1 replacement is engineered specifically for that dual-screen workload, so content creators, video editors, 3D artists, and designers can keep both displays active through long sessions without constantly hunting for a charger.

FAQ
- Q: Will the C42N1846-1 battery power both the main display and the ScreenPad Plus at the same time?
- A: Yes. The 71Wh capacity and 15.4V output are engineered for the ZenBook Pro Duo's dual-screen architecture. Keep in mind that running the 4K main display plus the ScreenPad Plus together increases power draw, so runtime scales with brightness and workload — exactly as with the original ASUS battery.
- Q: How do I confirm this battery fits my UX581 before ordering?
- A: Open the back cover and read the model printed on the original battery label. If it reads C42N1846-1, C42N1846, 0B200-03490000, 0B200-03350000, or 0B200-03350100, this replacement fits.
- Q: What tools do I need for installation?
- A: The chassis of the ZenBook Pro Duo requires an internal cross 3.0 screwdriver plus an external T5 screwdriver. Power off the laptop and disconnect the charger before opening the back cover.
- Q: Is this battery brand new?
- A: Yes — 100% brand new, never refurbished, with Grade-A cells and a 1-year warranty. Each unit is tested for capacity, voltage stability, and protection-circuit function before shipping.
- Q: Will dual-screen use shorten battery life faster?
- A: No. Higher instantaneous draw from two active displays simply drains the charge faster per hour; it does not damage the battery. The built-in BMS protects against overcharge, over-discharge, and overheating.
