Why is my Dell laptop not charging when plugged in?
Many Dell laptop users experience laptop batteries not charging. When the battery light on your laptop lights up, but the AC adapter is connected to the laptop, the battery doesn't charge.

Method 1: Reconnect the AC adapter and battery
One of the easiest and most effective ways to fix this problem is to reconnect the AC adapter and laptop battery. to this end:
1) Shut down your laptop.

3) Press and hold the power button on the laptop for 20 seconds to discharge the remaining power of the laptop.

This problem can also occur if you are using the wrong battery driver. You can reinstall the driver and see if this fixes your problem.
