Here are the various solutions you can try to fix your laptop speakers not working, from the easiest to the most advanced.
1. Restarting your computer is by far the easiest way to fix audio problems.
Sometimes there is a conflict in the software and a reboot removes any conflict or data corruption and like magic, everything works as expected.
2. Check your volume settings.
Click the speaker icon in the lower right corner of the laptop to make sure the speakers are not muted and the volume is turned up.
3. If you are using headphones or external speakers, the audio signal will be sent to that device (maybe off, dead battery, etc.).
Disconnect them to see if the audio comes out of the laptop's speakers again.
