Why Choose This AED Replacement Battery

  • Save 42-58% vs OEM CHARGE-PAK: The original Physio-Control CHARGE-PAK battery kit costs $449-$527. Our standalone replacement battery costs just $260 — same 12V 1.5Ah performance at a fraction of the cost
  • Lithium Thionyl Chloride Chemistry: Li/SO2Cl2 is the exact chemistry used in OEM AED batteries — ultra-low self-discharge rate ensures the battery holds charge for years in storage and maintains the 12-month standby life required by AED manufacturers
  • Built-in Protection Circuit: Engineered with over-current, over-discharge, and short-circuit protection to ensure reliable power delivery when every second counts
  • QC Tested Before Shipping: Every battery undergoes voltage and capacity verification before dispatch — we test so your AED works when it matters most
  • Precision Fit: Manufactured to exact Physio-Control compartment dimensions — installs in seconds without forcing or modification
  • 1-Year Full Warranty: Risk-free purchase. If any issue arises within 12 months, we replace the battery at no cost

AED Battery Replacement Guide

  • When to Replace: Replace the battery when the LIFEPAK CR Plus displays a low battery warning, or every 12 months — whichever comes first. The AED self-test function will alert you when the battery is nearing end of life
  • Replace Pads Simultaneously: Electrode pads and batteries typically expire around the same time. For regulatory compliance, replace both together. BatteryMall also stocks compatible electrode pads for the LIFEPAK CR Plus
  • Installation: Open the battery compartment on the back of the LIFEPAK CR Plus / EXPRESS AED, remove the old CHARGE-PAK, and insert the new battery. The device will run a self-test and confirm readiness with a green status indicator
  • Disposal: Lithium Thionyl Chloride batteries must be disposed of according to local hazardous waste regulations. Do not incinerate or dispose of in household trash
  • Storage: Store spare batteries in a cool, dry location (15-25 degree C). Avoid extreme temperatures which can accelerate self-discharge
